John Ferguson to drive new product sales geared towards the company’s fast-growing community of retailers and manufacturers.
Chicago, IL — Shotfarm, home of the first industry centralized Product Content Network, announced today that John Ferguson, former SVP of Sales for Getty Images has joined the start-up as EVP of Sales and Business Development.
Ferguson will spearhead the sales strategy for shotfarm’s new generation of workflow and technology tools for retailers and manufacturers, including Rich Media eCommerce Hosting and Digital Asset Management products. He brings more than 20 years of sales and business development experience to the role, including a strong background in the stock photography industry.
“As shotfarm extends its product suite to include turnkey technology products that cover the full range of product image and content management needs, John’s ability to define and deliver image solutions for customers will be a critical asset,” says shotfarm CEO Mike Lapchick.
In his roles at Getty Images and as CEO of a21 Group’s Superstock.com, Ferguson gained a deep understanding of the intricacies of image management, a fitting foundation for his new position at shotfarm. At Getty, Ferguson led the Americas Sales team and helped integrate many acquisitions to broaden the company’s photography offerings.
