For less than $500, medical practices and billing services can upgrade their software to meet ANSI 5010 and HIPAA compliancy standards. Ability Clinical Technologies now offers TotalMD Standard, which also converts Medisoft and Lytec data.
Effective immediately, Ability Clinical Technologies, an Orlando, Florida-based corporation will offer TotalMD’s HIPAA-compliant, STANDARD software program for Practice Management and Medical Billing.
“Many practices and services we support, do not require the extra features of the TotalMD Advanced product that we carry”, says Ability’s CEO Scott Hoehn. He continues by saying “By offering the Standard version, we offer our clients an affordable way to protect their patients data from cloud-based alternatives while complying with new government standards. Although the Standard program has features found in programs costing thousands of dollars, the additional features of the Advanced program can always be added as a practice or billing service grows. For clients currently using Medisoft or Lytec, the TotalMD program has a built-in conversion program for their data.”
Protecting patient identity should be the concern of every medical practice and billing service. Recent data-breach reports should send a clear message that cloud-based systems are NOT the way to go for data this sensitive. Doctors are ultimately liable to their patients for decisions made regarding where their data is placed. In addition, online companies can change ownership at any time, which could place patient data in hands of owners with questionable motives and/or regulations. The Standard version of TotalMD solves this problem without requiring any additional or annual fees.
TotalMD Standard software sells for $499, with network versions beginning at $1199. Call Ability Clinical Technologies today at 866-287-8953 or visit their website at www.abilityclinical.com for a free demo.

Calvin Ingram, 16-year-old singer and song writer of the band Melting Clockwork, is pleased to announce the premier ‘Catch ‘em on the Rise’ music jam event to be held at Gulf Coast Town Center.
Estero, FL – Calvin Ingram, 16-year-old singer and song writer of the band Melting Clockwork, is pleased to announce the premier ‘Catch ‘em on the Rise’ music jam event to be held at Gulf Coast Town Center just outside of Blu Sushi and Firepit restaurants on Thursday, April 19 from 6-9PM. The outdoor stage performance will feature up-and-coming bands and musicians performing their original music and songs ranging from folk to rock. All performers are age 21 or under, and have a passion for music and song writing.
Calvin and his 14-year-old brother Sonny of the band Melting Clockwork have been performing for the last few years at various venues throughout Southwest Florida. They feel very fortunate to have been given several opportunities throughout the years to play their original music in front of live audiences at country clubs, restaurants, bars, Music Walks, Art Walks, the County Fair, and private parties. They often play familiar “cover” songs from other artists since that is what crowds often want to hear. However, they truly enjoy entertaining crowds with their original music and lyrics.
Over the years they have met many young artists who share their same passion for writing music and lyrics, but seldom are given the opportunity to perform their original work.
“My brother and I organized ‘Catch ‘em on the Rise’ to provide younger, less experienced musicians with an opportunity to perform their original works in front of a live audience,” says Calvin. He adds, “At this event young musicians will have a chance to show off the real heart and soul behind their music, as well as introduce folks to a different side of the regional music scene than what they are accustomed to seeing.”
