Wildflower & VCSonline Team to Deploy VirtualEyes SaaS Project Management Software to Federal Market

Wildflower Intl. and VCSonline today announced a teaming agreement that grants Wildflower the exclusive rights to VirtualEyes, a Federal Government specific version of the VPMi for SaaS & on-site resource, portfolio, and project management.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 31, 2012 - Santa Fe, New Mexico – Wildflower International, a leading provider of information technology to the U.S. Federal Government and VCSonline, creators of the VPMi for web-based project portfolio management, today announced a teaming agreement that gives Wildflower exclusive access to the Federal project management market, offering VirtualEyes, a Federal Government specific version of the VPMi tool. This enterprise will offer both Federal customers and prime contractors the opportunity to purchase the previously unreleased VirtualEyes tool.

Under terms of the agreement Wildflower will continue to enhance, market, and sell VirtualEyes to U.S. Federal customers looking to effectively manage the billions of dollars in contract, program and project management budgets that are expected to get tighter and receive more scrutiny in the months ahead.

“While many will believe we entered this agreement overnight, the truth is VirtualEyes was over four years in the making.  Wildflower started using VPMi in 2008 as the third contractor in three years on a billion dollar Federal IT contract.  We knew if we wanted to satisfy the customer and keep the business we had to take a radically different approach to contract management and customer satisfaction than those before us.  After an exhaustive search of commercial web-based project management tools, we deployed VPMi and started to track every customer order as a repeatable project with workplans, workflow, teams, documents, and issue management,” stated Wildflower CEO Kimberly DeCastro.   “Then we did the unthinkable in our industry and gave our Federal customers login accounts with uncensored access.”

“VirtualEyes first materialized in the form of a modestly enhanced VPMi web-based project management tool which Wildflower continued to tailor in order to best serve our principal customer, the Federal Government.” explained Cameron Haight, Wildflower’s Chief of Business Operations.  ”VirtualEyes now gives us a unique advantage over our competitors who still use spreadsheets, phone mail, and project managers sweeping things under the carpet.  VirtualEyes has already started to revolutionize the way Federal contracts are managed and this teaming agreement with VCSonline solidifies our commitment to this emerging market for years to come.”

“We couldn’t be more proud of our partnership with Wildflower or the power of VirtualEyes to change the way the U.S. Federal Government manages contracts and projects,” states VCSonline co-founder Nick Matteucci. “Since launching VPMi in 1998, the single goal for VPMi has always been to help customers reach their full potential through simple, sensible, and supportable project management solutions, and VirtualEyes does exactly that.”  Matteucci continued, “By combining our expertise in building web-based project management software with Wildflower’s knowledge of U.S. Government contract management, we knew we had the best combination since chocolate met peanut butter.”

“SaaS adoption is highest in applications that support simplified, common business processes or large, distributed virtual workforce teams. Ease of use, rapid deployment, limited upfront investment in capital and staffing, plus a reduction in software management responsibility all make SaaS a desirable alternative to many on-premises solutions, and they will continue to act as drivers of growth,” said Sharon Mertz, research director at Gartner.

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 30, 2012 -
The Shakespeare Association of America, in its Annual Meeting April 6 in Boston, will feature Ensemble Chaconne (Peter H. Bloom, Renaissance flute; Carol Lewis, viola da gamba; Olav Chris Henriksen, Renaissance lute) and mezzo-soprano Pamela Dellal performing Measure for Measure: The Music of Shakespeare’s Plays.   Hailed by The Portland Press Herald as “the perfect Elizabethan evening,” the concert offers a rare and compelling view of the music Shakespeare’s audiences would have heard, including anonymous tunes of the period and music by the leading composers of his day (Thomas Morley, Robert Johnson, and others).  Ms. Dellal displays versatility and dramatic flair in love songs, comic antics, madness and tragedy.  Selections are tied directly to the plays and include music from As You Like It, Twelfth Night, Henry V, The Winter’s Tale, The Tempest, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth, and other plays.

The concert will be Friday, April 6, 2012 at 4:15 pm, Shakespeare Association of America National Meeting, Westin Copley Place, 10 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02116. Limited Seating. For information, call             1-888-887-7169      .

Among other selections, the ensemble will perform “The Willow Song” sung by Desdemona before her murder in Othello; “It Was a Lover and His Lasse” (As You Like It); “O Mistress Mine” (Twelfth Night); “Hark, Hark! The Lark” (Cymbeline); “Take O Take Those Lips Away” (Measure for Measure); “Full Fathom Five” (The Tempest), “Go from My Window” from Ophelia’s mad scene in Hamlet; and “Greensleeves,” the famous ballad tune (quoted in The Merry Wives of Windsor), an allusion to women of ill repute, recognized by their green sleeves.

Measure for Measure: The Music of Shakespeare’s Plays was presented in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Residency at Davidson College, and was chosen as featured event at the 30th Annual Medieval and Renaissance Forum and the National Meeting of the American Musicological Society.  The group’s CD of the same name is available on the Americas Musicworks label.

Praised for “vitality and character…style and verve” (MusicWeb International), and now celebrating its 26th season, ENSEMBLE CHACONNE has garnered consistent critical acclaim for its vivid concerts of Renaissance music on period instruments.  The group’s 2011-2012 season includes concerts in England, Ontario, and the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.  World renowned institutions including the National Gallery of Canada, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts and the Peabody Essex Museum have presented the group, and the ensemble has performed widely in concert halls, theatres, museums, historical sites, colleges and universities, and other venues.  In 2009, the group was named to Early Music America’s North American touring roster, one of only 33 ensembles in North America to receive the honor.

In May 2012, Ensemble Chaconne will tour England with performances at The National Gallery in London, Gainsborough’s House in Sudbury, St. Mary-le-Tower Church in Ipswich, and Riverhouse Arts Centre in Walton-on-Thames.

GUEST ARTIST PAMELA DELLAL has toured the United States, Europe, Australia and Japan and has recorded for Arabesque Records, Artona, BMG, Dorian, Meridian, and KOCH International.  Critics have called her singing “outstanding” (The New York Times) and “lushly fluid” (The Washington Post).
